1. The Software

RieSyncD is a personal financial behavior ledger and adaptive milestone tracking application. It is designed to help you consciously record your daily income and expenditures, reflect on your choices, and monitor your progress toward personal financial milestones over time.

2. STRICT DISCLAIMER: NO FINANCIAL, LEGAL, OR INVESTMENT ADVICE

RieSyncD is not a financial advisor, fiduciary, tax consultant, or registered broker-dealer.

Nothing contained in the software, reports, milestone calculations, nudges, or associated materials constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All calculations are mathematical summaries based entirely on numbers self-reported by you. You are solely responsible for evaluating your financial circumstances and consulting qualified licensed professionals before making any financial or investment decisions.

3. Local-First Data Sovereignty & Backups

RieSyncD is architected as local-first software. Your records reside on your local device. Because we do not store your private financial ledger on our servers, you are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data using the built-in JSON/CSV export tools. RieSyncD is not liable for data loss resulting from device failure, browser cache clearance, or local hardware damage.

4. User Conduct & Community Accountability

If you participate in optional community circles or sharing features:

You agree not to post deceptive, fraudulent, illegal, abusive, or harmful content.
You agree not to dispense unauthorized financial advice, solicit investments, or promote speculative schemes to other users.
RieSyncD is not responsible or liable for any content, statements, opinions, or claims made by users within community groups. Anything shared by community members represents their own views, not RieSyncD's.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RieSyncD, its founder, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to financial losses, loss of profits, investment losses, or loss of data resulting from the use or inability to use the software.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
